Paying Attention

Herein be random ruminations on politics, history, ideas, spirituality, religion, education, media, life, relationships, culture... and Boston sports when I really want to vent.

"If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention." (ubiquitous)

"Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never has and never will." (Frederick Douglass)

"I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do, because I notice it always coincides with their own desires." (Susan B. Anthony)

"Clearly the trick in life is to die young as late as possible." (William Sloane Coffin)

FOX NEWS: SELECTIVE OUTRAGE

So, FOX News can stoke the flames of an irrational demand on the nation’s president (“Prove you are actually a legitimate president”) but can’t muster anywhere near the same outrage over a Republican frontrunner’s missing tax returns. Foe decades, every major candidate has released tax returns because the public has a right to know where the financial interests lie of someone who would hold the highest public office in the land.

No news here.  FOX is not in any way a serious news organization.
